VR102 is a first-in-class, long-acting vaginal ring developed by VaRi Bioscience for the treatment of vulvovaginal atrophy (VVA). It functions as a local estrogen therapy, delivering estrogen directly to the vaginal tissues to alleviate symptoms such as dryness, itching, and dyspareunia associated with menopause-induced estrogen deficiency. The ring is designed for sustained release, providing a long-acting therapeutic effect that aims to improve patient compliance and efficacy compared to existing short-acting local treatments. The program has completed initial development activities and is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
