VR103

VR103 is a long-acting, progestin-based vaginal ring being developed by VaRi Bioscience for the treatment of endometriosis. The therapy is designed to provide sustained, local delivery of a progestin to the pelvic environment, aiming to suppress the growth of ectopic endometrial tissue and alleviate associated symptoms such as chronic pelvic pain. By utilizing a localized delivery system, VR103 seeks to improve patient compliance and potentially reduce the systemic side effects often associated with oral hormonal treatments. As a progesterone receptor agonist, the progestin component modulates the hormonal environment to inhibit the proliferation of endometrial lesions. The program is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
