VRC07-523LS is a second-generation broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibody (bnAb) that targets the CD4 binding site on the HIV envelope glycoprotein gp120. It has broad and potent neutralizing activity against approximately 96% of HIV strains. This antibody is designed to be more potent and have a longer half-life compared to its predecessor, VRC01, making it suitable for long-acting HIV prevention and treatment strategies.
