Overview

VRDN refers to a pipeline of monoclonal antibodies developed by Viridian Therapeutics, primarily focused on the treatment of thyroid eye disease (TED). The program's lead assets are antagonists of the insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor (IGF-1R), a validated target for TED that drives the inflammation and tissue expansion behind the disease's pathology. The lead candidate, **VRDN-001 (veligrotug)**, is an intravenous antibody currently in Phase 3 clinical trials (THRIVE and THRIVE-2). The company is also advancing subcutaneous formulations, most notably **VRDN-003**, a half-life extended version of the antibody designed for less frequent dosing, which is also in Phase 3 development (REVEAL trials). Beyond the IGF-1R program, the VRDN prefix is used for other pipeline assets, including neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) inhibitors like VRDN-004, VRDN-005, and VRDN-006, which are being developed for various autoimmune indications.
