Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VRK3 shRNA is a short hairpin RNA (shRNA) designed to knock down the expression of vaccinia-related kinase 3 (VRK3). In preclinical research, knocking down VRK3 in breast cancer cells has been shown to sensitize them to paclitaxel, reducing the IC50 of paclitaxel by half. This suggests a potential role for VRK3 inhibition in overcoming paclitaxel resistance in breast cancer.
