Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VSA-2 is a saponin-based vaccine adjuvant developed by Adjuvax and distributed in partnership with Croda. As a member of the VSA (Vaccine Saponin Adjuvant) family, it is designed to enhance the immunogenicity of vaccine antigens by stimulating both cellular and humoral immune responses. VSA-2 is specifically utilized in the development of both systemic and mucosal human vaccines. It functions by promoting the activation of antigen-presenting cells and modulating cytokine production, thereby improving the overall efficacy of the vaccine formulation. The product is currently available commercially for use in vaccine research and development.
