VSV-03 is a preclinical oncolytic virus candidate developed by Joint Biosciences for the treatment of solid tumors. It is based on a Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) platform engineered to function as a bispecific engager. The virus is designed to target and bind CD16 (FcγRIII) on immune effector cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells, and PD-L1 on tumor cells or within the immune microenvironment. This dual mechanism aims to promote immune-mediated tumor cell killing through both direct viral oncolysis and the recruitment of effector cells to PD-L1-expressing targets, potentially overcoming checkpoint-mediated immune evasion.
