**VSV-CD133** is a genetically engineered **oncolytic virus** based on vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), in which the viral glycoprotein has been replaced by measles virus (MV) glycoproteins that have been further modified to target the cell surface marker **CD133 (prominin-1)** using a CD133-specific single-chain antibody fragment (scFv). However, fatal neurotoxicity has been observed in some brain tumor models, indicating the need for careful preclinical safety evaluation.
