VT-1953

VT-1953 is a first-in-class, topical, bactericidal small molecule developed by Vyome Therapeutics for the treatment of conditions involving immuno-inflammatory pathways and infection. Its mechanism of action involves dual inhibition of TLR-MD2 (Toll-like receptor–myeloid differentiation factor 2) and bacterial DNA gyrase, combining immuno-anti-inflammatory activity with direct antibacterial effects. VT-1953 has shown significant promise in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of malignant fungating wounds (reduction of malodor, pain, and improved quality of life) and in studies for resistant acne vulgaris, particularly against clindamycin-resistant Cutibacterium acnes.
