Overview

VT-A2 is a preclinical small molecule drug candidate being developed by VASTHERA for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). It is developed using VASTHERA's proprietary Redoxizyme™ platform, which focuses on creating small-molecule peroxiredoxin (Prx) nanozymes. These compounds are designed to mimic the catalytic activity of natural peroxiredoxin enzymes, which are essential for regulating reactive oxygen species (ROS) and maintaining cellular redox homeostasis. By acting as a Prx mimetic, VT-A2 aims to modulate the oxidative stress environment within the tumor microenvironment, potentially inhibiting the growth, survival, and chemoresistance of aggressive TNBC cells.
