Overview

VT1093 is an investigational oncolytic virus therapy that encodes a monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1). It is designed as a DNA-based oncolytic virus intended for intratumoral injection. The primary mechanism of action is inhibition of the PD-1 pathway, which can enhance anti-tumor immune responses by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands. VT1093 is being developed for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic malignant solid tumors. A Phase I open-label, dose-escalation clinical trial has been initiated to evaluate its safety, tolerability, maximum tolerated dose (MTD), dose-limiting toxicity (DLT), biodistribution, biological effects, and preliminary efficacy in adults with these cancers[1].
