VT301

VT301 is an ex vivo expanded, autologous regulatory T cell (Treg) therapy developed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The product consists of a suspension of regulatory T cells (1.7x10^5 cells/kg ±15%) for injection, diluted with sterile saline solution. The therapy is designed to modulate neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's disease by suppressing excessive immune activation in the brain and improving microglial function. Preclinical studies and a phase 1 clinical trial have shown that amyloid beta-specific human Tregs can ameliorate behavioral deficits and neuropathology in animal models, while early clinical data indicate good tolerability in humans[1][6][8]. VT301 is being developed by VTBIO.
