This is a combination therapy comprising VT3989, a first-in-class, oral small molecule TEAD inhibitor (transcriptional enhanced associate domain autopalmitoylation inhibitor) that targets the Hippo-YAP signaling pathway, and osimertinib, a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor. VT3989 is primarily being developed by Vivace Therapeutics for the treatment of mesothelioma and other solid tumors, particularly in settings of recurrence or after failure of standard treatment. In combination, the therapy is being evaluated to enhance antitumor efficacy, especially in non–small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations, and potentially in other malignancies with Hippo pathway dysregulation or EGFR pathway dependency.
