Overview
VT7208 is an investigational small molecule drug under development for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. It is designed as a Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor, aiming to modulate immune cell signaling and inflammation believed to contribute to MS pathology. The current Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluates its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier in healthy volunteers and MS patients. BTK inhibition is measured via free, total, and phosphorylated BTK levels in blood and cerebrospinal fluid.
