VTA-120 is an investigational autologous induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived skeletal muscle satellite cell therapy being developed by Vita Therapeutics for the treatment of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). It is designed to combine patient-specific gene correction with iPSC technology to generate myogenic progenitor/satellite cells that can be injected intramuscularly to repair and regenerate healthy muscle tissue, addressing the underlying genetic and cellular defects driving progressive muscle weakness in FSHD.[1][4][5][6][10]
