VTose is a recombinant fusion protein and the lead candidate developed by Kimer Med using its proprietary broad-spectrum antiviral platform. The drug is designed to target and bind to double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), a conserved molecular signature produced during the replication cycle of virtually all viruses. By targeting this common denominator, VTose aims to provide a universal treatment approach effective against a wide range of viral pathogens. Preclinical studies have demonstrated in vitro efficacy against 21 different viruses across nine families, including Dengue, Zika, Influenza A, and various herpesviruses, with low toxicity profiles observed in early in vivo models.
