Overview

**VTP-1000** is an investigational, injectable antigen-specific tolerance immunotherapy for **celiac disease**. It uses the self-assembling nanoparticle-based SNAP-Tolerance Immunotherapy platform to co-deliver gluten-derived peptide antigens from wheat, barley, and rye proteins with rapamycin. The formulation is intended to induce gluten-specific immune tolerance by increasing regulatory T-cell activity and reducing pathogenic effector T-cell responses to gluten, thereby limiting gluten-triggered intestinal inflammation. VTP-1000 is being evaluated in the randomized Phase 1 AVALON study, including single-ascending-dose and multiple-ascending-dose cohorts with a controlled gluten challenge.
