Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VTRU100 is an investigational Fc fusion protein being developed by Vitruviae, currently in the discovery stage. It is designed using a proprietary platform that targets specific cancer-associated sugars (glycans) and lipids that are uniquely present or enriched on the surface of malignant cells and cancer stem cells. Although the platform is primarily oncology-focused, VTRU100 is being specifically developed for the treatment of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. The drug functions by binding to these unique glycan and lipid signatures on the surface of infected cells and utilizing its Fc domain to trigger immune effector mechanisms, such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), to eliminate the targeted cells.
