Overview

VTx-003 refers to at least two distinct investigational drugs in development by different companies, each with unique mechanisms and indications: **1. VectorY (VectoryTx) – Huntington’s Disease:** VTx-003 is a vectorized antibody therapy designed for Huntington’s disease. It uses an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector to deliver a transgene encoding a therapeutic antibody that selectively binds and clears mutant huntingtin protein (HTT), the underlying cause of neuronal toxicity in Huntington’s disease, while sparing normal HTT. The goal is to delay disease progression and restore neuronal health. This program is currently in the discovery phase[1][2]. **2. Venn Therapeutics – Cancer Immunotherapy:** VTX-003 from Venn Therapeutics is described as a monoclonal antibody targeting integrin alpha-V/beta-1 (αvβ1), acting as an αvβ1 inhibitor for neoplasms, with preclinical development status[4]. Separately, another source describes "VTX-003" as a small molecule inhibitor of nuclear β-catenin/BCL9 interactions within the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, aiming to restore anti-tumor immune activity in colorectal cancer and other solid tumors by modulating immune exclusion[5][7]. These compounds have shown promising preclinical pharmacokinetics and efficacy.
