VTX-067 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic cancer vaccine candidate being developed by Voltron Therapeutics for the treatment of Human Papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers, including head and neck cancer and cervical cancer. The vaccine is built upon a proprietary Self-Assembling Vaccine (SAV) platform, originally developed at the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center of Massachusetts General Hospital. The technology utilizes a modular approach, combining an immune-activating MTBhsp70-avidin component with biotinylated immunogenic peptides that target the HPV E6 and E7 oncoproteins. This design is intended to induce a robust and specific T-cell response against tumor cells. In preclinical murine models, VTX-067 has demonstrated significant efficacy, including tumor growth inhibition and complete tumor eradication at higher doses, supporting its progression toward clinical evaluation.
