Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VTX-1218 is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets VSIG4 (V-set and immunoglobulin domain containing 4), a type-I receptor from the B7-like family highly expressed on tumor-associated macrophages and dendritic cells in most tumor types. By binding to VSIG4, VTX-1218 repolarizes macrophages to a pro-inflammatory state, activates T-cells, and attracts other immune cells, generating a coordinated antitumor immune response. The drug is being developed by Verseau Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors and is currently in preclinical development[1][2][3][5][6].
