VTX-PID is a novel investigational technology developed by Vivet Therapeutics aimed at depleting neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) specific to a given adeno-associated virus (AAV) serotype. This depletion allows for improved AAV vector transduction, which is critical in gene therapy applications where pre-existing or induced NAbs can limit the efficacy of AAV-based gene delivery. VTX-PID is currently advancing in a Phase 1 clinical study targeting subjects positive for NAbs, with initial results already obtained and further data expected in 2025. The technology supports enhanced liver transduction in animal models with NAbs and is part of Vivet Therapeutics' broader pipeline focused on rare inherited liver metabolic diseases using recombinant AAV vectors[1][2][3][4][7].
