Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vulniphan is a hormone-free medical device developed by Dr. Pfleger Arzneimittel for the treatment of vaginal dryness and the promotion of vaginal mucosa regeneration. It is available as an over-the-counter (OTC) product in the form of vaginal suppositories (ovula) and gel. The primary active ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which provides intensive moisture and supports the natural healing process of the vaginal epithelium. This is supplemented by plant extracts including *Centella asiatica* (Tiger grass), *Calendula officinalis* (marigold), *Melaleuca alternifolia* (tea tree oil), and *Aloe vera*. Vulniphan is indicated for managing vaginal atrophy and dystrophy caused by menopause, gynecological procedures, childbirth, or cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
