Overview

VUM03 is an allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy developed by Eastern Union Stem Cell & Gene Engineering (Vcanbio). It is specifically developed for the treatment of complex perianal fistulas in patients with inactive or mildly active Crohn's disease. The therapy leverages the innate ability of mesenchymal stem cells to modulate the immune response and promote tissue regeneration, aiming to facilitate the healing and closure of complex fistulous tracts. VUM03 is formulated as an injection and has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China.
