Overview

Vusolimogene oderparepvec is a genetically engineered, replication-competent herpes simplex virus type 1 oncolytic immunotherapy developed by Replimune. The virus preferentially replicates in tumors, causing tumor-cell lysis and immunogenic release of tumor antigens. It is engineered to express granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and the fusogenic glycoprotein GALV-GP-R-, intended to enhance local tumor destruction, recruit and activate immune cells, and induce systemic antitumor immunity. In the United States, it is marketed as TUDRIQEV and received accelerated approval in combination with nivolumab for adults with unresectable advanced cutaneous melanoma that progressed on an anti-PD-1 antibody-based regimen.
