vvDD-IL-9 is an engineered **oncolytic vaccinia virus** based on the tumor-selective vvDD backbone and armed with the **interleukin-9** transgene for intratumoral cytokine delivery in cancer immunotherapy. In preclinical colon and lung tumor models, the construct was designed to replicate in tumors, lyse malignant cells, and locally express IL-9 to remodel the tumor microenvironment.
