Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VVH-P001 is a nanobody-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Protheragen for the treatment of psoriasis. It specifically targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a central role in the pathogenesis of plaque psoriasis and other autoimmune conditions. By neutralizing IL-17A, VVH-P001 aims to inhibit the downstream inflammatory signaling pathways that lead to keratinocyte proliferation and skin inflammation. As a nanobody (single-domain antibody), it offers potential advantages over traditional monoclonal antibodies, such as smaller size, high stability, and potentially improved tissue penetration. The project is currently in the discovery stage and is listed as an available project for licensing or collaboration.
