Overview

VVH-P001 is a nanobody-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Protheragen for the treatment of psoriasis. It specifically targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a central role in the pathogenesis of plaque psoriasis and other autoimmune conditions. By neutralizing IL-17A, VVH-P001 aims to inhibit the downstream inflammatory signaling pathways that lead to keratinocyte proliferation and skin inflammation. As a nanobody (single-domain antibody), it offers potential advantages over traditional monoclonal antibodies, such as smaller size, high stability, and potentially improved tissue penetration.
