VX-135 + daclatasvir is a combination of two direct-acting antiviral (DAA) small molecules investigated for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. **VX-135 (ALS-2200)** is a uridine nucleotide analogue inhibitor of the HCV NS5B polymerase, designed to inhibit viral RNA replication. **Daclatasvir (BMS-790052)** is a potent inhibitor of the HCV NS5A replication complex, involved in viral RNA replication and assembly. The combination targets two distinct steps in the HCV replication cycle, aiming for enhanced antiviral efficacy, and was developed as an interferon-free, all-oral regimen for chronic HCV infection, particularly genotypes 1 and 3. Clinical development reached phase 2 trials but did not proceed to approval[1][3][5].
