Overview

VXA-103 is a preclinical-stage T-cell engager (TCE) developed by VERAXA Biotech for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapeutic is engineered using VERAXA's proprietary BiTAC (Bispecific T-cell Activating) platform, which enables the creation of bispecific antibodies through site-specific conjugation. VXA-103 is designed to bridge T-cells and tumor cells by binding to the CD3 complex on T-cells and a specific, currently undisclosed, tumor-associated antigen (TAA) on the surface of solid tumor cells. This dual binding triggers T-cell activation and the subsequent release of cytotoxic granules, leading to the targeted destruction of the cancer cells. As of 2024, the program remains in the discovery phase of development.
