Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VXA-104 is a bispecific T-cell engager (TCE) currently in the discovery stage, developed by VERAXA Biotech for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug is engineered using the company's proprietary BiTAC (Bispecific T-cell Activating) platform, which utilizes a novel architecture to optimize T-cell recruitment and activation against tumor cells. VXA-104 is designed to simultaneously bind to a tumor-associated antigen (TAA) on solid tumor cells and the CD3 complex on T cells, facilitating the formation of an immunological synapse that triggers directed T-cell mediated cytotoxicity and tumor cell lysis. By leveraging the BiTAC platform, the developer aims to enhance the therapeutic window and efficacy of T-cell engagers in the challenging solid tumor microenvironment.
