Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VXM NEO is a personalized neoantigen cancer vaccine program based on VAXIMM’s oral T‑cell DNA vaccination platform, which uses a live attenuated, orally available bacterial vector engineered to express patient‑specific tumor neoantigens to stimulate cytotoxic T‑cell responses against cancer cells.[4][10][12][6] Initially developed by VAXIMM in collaboration with NEC, the program applies NEC’s AI technology to identify and prioritize individual tumor neoantigens, enabling rapid design and manufacturing of bespoke vaccines intended to overcome limitations of other neoantigen approaches and to provide a flexible, plug‑and‑play immunotherapy for solid tumors.[4][10][12][6] The VXM NEO assets, including neoantigen vaccine‑related patents and manufacturing licenses, were later acquired by NEC OncoImmunity, which plans to advance the platform into clinical trials for multiple oncology indications.[6][8][15]
