Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VXN-SPOR is a nanoparticle-based vaccine candidate developed by Vaxinano for the prevention of sporotrichosis in cats. It is built upon the proprietary STELLAR-NP platform, which utilizes inactivated pathogens to induce a robust immune response without the need for conventional chemical adjuvants. The vaccine targets *Sporothrix* species, the causative agents of sporotrichosis, a fungal disease that is particularly prevalent in feline populations and poses a zoonotic risk to humans. By delivering inactivated fungal components via a nanoparticle delivery system, VXN-SPOR aims to provide a safe and effective prophylactic solution. The candidate is currently in mid-stage development for veterinary use.
