VY-X is a novel small non-coding RNA construct developed by Vycellix. It is designed to enhance the efficacy of cytotoxic cellular therapies by increasing the density and load of perforin and granzyme B within cytotoxic effector cells, such as T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. This leads to higher serial killing capacity and a faster 'time-to-next-kill' for these immune cells. Potential applications include ex vivo treatment of cells prior to adoptive transfer and in vivo administration as an adjuvant with T cell and/or NK cell therapies for cancer, or as a monotherapy to boost endogenous effector cells.
