Drug intelligence / Profile preview
vYF + MMR II refers to the co-administration of Sanofi's investigational live-attenuated yellow fever vaccine (vYF, also known as SP0218) and Merck's licensed M-M-R II vaccine. This combination is being evaluated in Phase III clinical trials for pediatric populations, specifically infants aged 11-15 months, to assess the safety and immunogenicity of giving both vaccines during the same vaccination visit. vYF is designed to provide immunity against the yellow fever virus, while M-M-R II is a trivalent vaccine providing protection against measles, mumps, and rubella infections. The study aims to demonstrate that the immune response to each component is not compromised when administered concomitantly.
