Overview
Vyoshamrutham (also spelled Vyoshamritham) is a traditional Ayurvedic proprietary medicine manufactured by Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala. It is formulated as an Arishtam, which is a naturally fermented liquid preparation. The formulation contains a blend of potent herbs and spices, primarily Trikatu (Sunti/Ginger, Pippali/Long Pepper, and Maricha/Black Pepper) along with Jeeraka (Cumin), Jaggery, and Camphor. Vyoshamrutham is primarily indicated for the relief of respiratory and digestive ailments, including the common cold, influenza, cough, indigestion, and colic. It is believed to work by clearing congestion, soothing the respiratory tract, improving digestion, and boosting overall immunity.
