Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VyraMed is a broad-spectrum antiviral product developed by FetTech, utilizing their proprietary Multi-Tissue Platform (MTP®). Originally derived from extracellular matrix (ECM) technology for regenerative medicine, MTP was found to possess potent antiviral properties specifically against enveloped viruses. It works by reducing viral infectivity (up to 99.9% in NIAID-sponsored studies) and preventing the spread of viruses within human tissue. The platform is naturally derived from multiple tissue sources and is effective against a wide range of pathogens, including herpes simplex virus (HSV), varicella zoster virus (VZV), coronaviruses, HIV, hepatitis, and Ebola. VyraMed is available in multiple formulations, such as powder and gel, and is part of a family of FDA-cleared ECM products that includes XCelliStem for wound care.
