W-LHIT

**W-LHIT** is an investigational traditional Chinese herbal medicine formula for simple obesity. It contains *Ganoderma lucidum*, *Coptis chinensis*, *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Nelumbo nucifera* Gaertn, and *Fructus aurantii*. The formula is intended to support weight loss without appetite suppression and has been associated with changes in gut microbiota, including increased *Akkermansia muciniphila* and *Enterococcus faecium* and decreased Proteobacteria. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 study in 37 adults with simple obesity, oral W-LHIT capsules combined with lifestyle education produced greater mean weight and BMI reductions than placebo over two months; mild gastrointestinal effects were reported and no serious adverse reactions were observed.
