Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Warming Spleen and Reducing Turbidity Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang’anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically designed to address the TCM syndrome of spleen deficiency and turbidity accumulation, which is clinically associated with frailty in patients suffering from chronic heart failure and comorbid glucose and lipid metabolism disorders. The decoction aims to improve cardiac function and metabolic parameters by "warming the spleen" (enhancing digestive and metabolic energy) and "reducing turbidity" (clearing metabolic waste or pathological products). It is currently being evaluated in clinical studies to observe its effects on frailty and metabolic markers in heart failure patients.
