Wartner

Wartner is an over-the-counter medical device product line used for the treatment of common warts and verrucas (plantar warts) caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). It is available in two primary formulations: a cryotherapy version and a chemical peel version. The cryotherapy formulation utilizes a liquid gas mixture of dimethyl ether (75%) and propane (25%) to freeze the wart tissue down to the root, inducing a blister that eventually falls off within 10-14 days. The Wart & Verruca Removal Pen contains a trichloroacetic acid (TCA) gel, which acts as a chemical exfoliant to destroy virus-infected cells and promote the growth of healthy skin. Developed by Omega Teknika and distributed by Omega Pharma (a Perrigo company), Wartner is intended for use in adults and children aged four years and older.
