Waterjel R1 + Waterjel R2

Waterjel R1 + Waterjel R2 is a two-step, cytokine-containing, milk protein–based topical skin care system designed to prevent and reduce acute radiation dermatitis in patients undergoing radiotherapy, particularly for breast cancer and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.[3][11] R1 is a water-based cooling gel applied shortly after radiation treatment to cool, hydrate, and stabilize skin temperature, while R2 is a soothing, moisturizing lotion with UVA/UVB stabilizers that helps maintain skin hydration, elasticity, and barrier function during and after a radiotherapy course.[3][7][10][11] Both products contain Lactokine (a milk-derived protein complex with cytokine activity), which is proposed to modulate inflammatory responses and support skin repair, and the system has been approved in Europe as a class IIa medical device for prevention of radiation dermatitis and marketed in the United States as Radiaderm Advanced Skincare System.[3][7][11]
