Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Waypoint Bio is developing an undisclosed CAR-T cell therapy for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically lung cancer and prostate cancer. The program leverages the company's proprietary Spatial Pooled Screening platform, which enables high-throughput, in vivo-like screening of cell therapy candidates within the complex architecture of tumor tissues. This approach is designed to identify CAR-T designs that can effectively penetrate solid tumors and maintain activity within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Currently in the preclinical stage, the therapy aims to address the limitations of existing cell therapies in treating non-hematologic malignancies by optimizing cell fitness and function through spatial biology insights.
