Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**WD-3** is a proprietary traditional Chinese medicine herbal decoction formula, also called Weitiao No. 3, created at Wuxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for use in advanced non-small cell lung cancer with a traditional Chinese medicine qi-deficiency pattern. It comprises eleven Chinese herbs and is administered orally. Clinical and translational reports have evaluated WD-3 as an adjunct to PD-1 or PD-L1 checkpoint inhibition plus chemotherapy, with proposed activity involving remodeling of the gut microbiota and tumor immune microenvironment, including effects on regulatory T cells. Its individual active constituents and direct molecular targets have not been definitively established. ([link.springer.com](https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s12575-025-00320-2))
