WE-868 is a **novel, small molecule isoflavonoid** developed to modulate mitochondrial energy metabolism, specifically by adjusting oxidative phosphorylation without directly suppressing the OXPHOS pathway. Preclinical studies showed WE-868 dose-dependently prevented high-fat diet-induced weight gain, and at higher doses, induced net weight loss.
