Its mechanism of action involves protecting the gastric mucosa, neutralizing gastric acid, and providing anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects through the modulation of various biological pathways. It is widely manufactured in China, most notably by the Sunflower Pharmaceutical Group, and is a staple in Chinese gastroenterological therapy.
