Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Wei Li Bai is a modernized Chinese botanical drug developed by Capital Medical University for the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Administered as an oral capsule, the drug has demonstrated the potential to improve cognitive function and memory in preclinical models. Its mechanism of action is thought to involve neuroprotection and the modulation of amyloid-beta pathology, which are hallmark features of Alzheimer's disease. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China (e.g., NCT04163926) to assess its safety and efficacy in improving cognitive scores, such as the ADAS-cog, and daily living activities in patients with Alzheimer's disease.
