Weibing I

Weibing I is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University. It is used as part of a syndrome-differentiation-based therapeutic approach for functional dyspepsia. In this clinical framework, Weibing I is typically prescribed for patients exhibiting specific TCM patterns, such as spleen-stomach deficiency-cold, to regulate gastrointestinal function and alleviate symptoms like epigastric pain and bloating. It was evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (ChiCTR-TRC-10001074) alongside other numbered Weibing formulas (II, III, and IV) to validate the efficacy of pattern-based TCM treatment in dyspeptic patients.
