Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Weibing IV is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University. It is one of four syndrome-differentiated formulae (Weibing I, II, III, and IV) evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of functional dyspepsia. The treatment approach is based on TCM principles of differentiating between cold and heat, as well as asthenia (deficiency) and sthenia (excess) patterns. Weibing IV is specifically designed to address one of these four quadrants of syndrome differentiation to improve gastric symptoms and regulate gastrointestinal function. The formula typically consists of a combination of botanical ingredients tailored to the specific TCM syndrome pattern identified in the patient.
