Weierkang (also known as Weierkang pills or Weierkang wan) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed as a hospital preparation, most notably at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and the management of gastric precancerous lesions, such as gastric intraepithelial neoplasia. In clinical practice, Weierkang is often used in combination with standard triple or quadruple therapy (e.g., proton pump inhibitors and antibiotics) to enhance the eradication rate of *Helicobacter pylori* and to promote the healing of the gastric mucosa. The formulation is believed to work by improving gastric blood flow, reducing chronic inflammation, and potentially reversing mucosal atrophy and intestinal metaplasia.
