Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination therapeutic regimen is widely used in China for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and the prevention of gastric cancer. It consists of **Weifuchun**, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) capsule developed by Huadong Medicine that contains *Isodon amethystoides*, *Pseudostellaria heterophylla*, and *Citrus aurantium* to improve mucosal blood flow and reverse intestinal metaplasia; **hydrotalcite**, an antacid and mucosal protectant that neutralizes gastric acid and binds bile acids; and a combination of **l-glutamine** and **sodium gualenate** (guaiazulene sodium sulfonate), which promotes mucosal repair by stimulating hexosamine synthesis and providing direct anti-inflammatory effects. The regimen is clinically valued for its ability to alleviate symptoms such as epigastric pain and bloating while promoting the histological recovery of the gastric mucosa.
