Weifuchun Capsules

Weifuchun Capsules is a Chinese Patent Medicine (CPM) widely used in China for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and gastric precancerous lesions (GPL), such as intestinal metaplasia and low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia. The formulation typically consists of three main herbal components: *Rabdosia rubescens* (Dong Ling Cao), *Isatis indigotica* (Ban Lan Gen), and *Poria cocos* (Fu Ling). It is developed and manufactured by Huadong Medicine. The therapeutic mechanism involves strengthening the spleen, tonifying qi, and resolving blood stasis according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. Clinically, it is observed to improve gastric mucosal atrophy, reduce inflammation, and potentially lower the risk of progression to gastric cancer by modulating biomarkers like pepsinogen and gastrin, and regulating the expression of oncostatin M.
